Founded on clinical expertise and personal experience, Healing Haven exists to support every child and every family member—through every stage of their journey.
At Healing Haven, we help children with autism and other developmental needs learn, grow, and thrive—while empowering parents with knowledge, tools, and guidance. Our mission is rooted in behavioral science, but just as deeply in compassion: we believe that the best outcomes come from respecting the individual, listening to the family, and building strong, trusting therapeutic relationships.
Every child is unique, and so is every family. That’s why we customize each therapy plan, provide multi-disciplinary support under one roof, and equip parents to confidently carry progress into everyday life.
Healing Haven was founded in 2010 by Jamie McGillivary, MS, LLP, BCBA, LBA—a Limited Licensed Psychologist and board-certified behavior analyst. Her journey into ABA therapy began with a deeply personal mission: to create a space where children with autism could thrive emotionally, socially, and developmentally.
What began as a single clinic has since grown into expansive multi-location behavioral health centers, helping hundreds of families across Metro Detroit. Yet our founding values haven’t changed: to deliver expert care with empathy, meet families where they are, and be a true partner in every child’s growth.
We take a holistic approach to autism therapy—not just treating the child’s diagnosis, but supporting the emotional health of the entire family. From personalized ABA plans to parent coaching and stress management for caregivers, our programs are designed to reduce overwhelm and build resilience.
Whether you’re navigating a new diagnosis, looking for next steps, or preparing your teen for independence, we walk with you through it all.
In-house counseling and stress management
Parent training built into every ABA program
Diagnostic services to clarify needs and access support sooner
Speech and occupational therapy to support whole-child development
Our team includes Limited Licensed Psychologists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Counselors—all working together in one integrated environment.
We are a member of the Council of Autism Service Providers (CASP) an organization focused on quality, safe, effective and evidence based practices for individuals with autism.
But what truly sets us apart is how we deliver that care: with warmth, clarity, and a deep respect for each child’s dignity and potential.
We treat each individual with dignity, as a person first not a diagnosis, and customize their treatment accordingly.
We recognize the critical role each person serves in the journey of success, as well as the impact an individual’s diagnosis can have on each member of the family.
Whether it’s within the families we serve or the teams we work in, we provide mindfulness and stress reduction techniques to equip caregivers and clients with tools to manage and alleviate their stress.
We encourage our team members to identify and capitalize on their strengths, while having the confidence to take initiative, make decisions, and lead within their sphere of responsibility and influence.
With diversity comes strength in the broad range of backgrounds, experiences, education, and perspectives our team members bring to their work, which in turn helps us better serve our diverse clients. We also celebrate neurodiversity and advocate for acceptance of all individuals.
