Yes. Healing Haven is an in‑network provider for both Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) and Blue Care Network (BCN) for most autism and behavioral health services.

Depending on your plan, BCBS and BCN may cover ABA therapy, autism diagnostic evaluations, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and counseling services when medically necessary.
In the past BCBSM and BCN did require an autism diagnostic evaluation to be performed by one of their Approved Autism Evaluation Centers (AAECs). However, they now allow for comprehensive autism evaluations to be done by qualified autism evaluation providers. Healing Haven’s autism testing and evaluation services meet these standards.
Yes. Most BCBSM and BCN plans require prior authorization for ABA therapy. An autism diagnostic evaluation is required for prior authorization. Healing Haven submits the required documentation and manages the authorization process on your behalf.
While both are Blue Cross plans, BCBSM and BCN can have different benefit structures and authorization requirements. Our billing team verifies your specific plan details and provides a summary of coverage before services begin.

Our billing and insurance team will verify your policy benefits for Healing Haven services and provide you with a summary of your coverage. We’ll guide you through verification, authorization, and scheduling. For ABA Therapy, most families are able to start ABA within 4 weeks of contacting us. And for Developmental Testing and Autism Evaluations, the entire process typically takes about 8 weeks.
