Many Priority Health plans cover autism evaluations when medically necessary. Coverage and authorization requirements vary by plan, and our team verifies this before scheduling.
Priority Health plans typically cover ABA therapy for autism, dependent upon the specific policy, accepted autism evaluation, and receiving authorization. Our experienced team assists families with ensuring their child’s autism diagnostic report meets Priority Health’s requirements to authorize ABA therapy.
Speech and Occupational therapies are typically a covered benefit. Additionally, depending on the specific insurance plan benefits, speech and occupational therapy benefits increase with an autism diagnosis. Prescriptions from the child’s Pediatrician are required for insurance authorization for speech and OT.
Healing Haven manages the authorization process by submitting the required autism diagnostic report and clinical documentation, as well as communicating directly with Priority Health whenever possible.
Once approved, our team schedules services and continues to monitor authorizations to support continuity of care.
